Role Purpose:

Projects/initiatives that we want you to contribute to or lead the charge on:

• Payment engine: we are enhancing our payment processing architecture to further leverage cloud capabilities, microservices, events etc
• API as a product: we are creating a new set of APIs to allow internal (and later, external) teams to access the powerful features of the platform
• Alternative payment methods: we are extending our capabilities into non-card payments such as Open Banking
• Payouts and remittances: we want to leverage the ever-increasing coverage of real time push payments for P2P and B2C payments
• Request to Pay: as an alternative to card payments and direct debits, we see great potential for RtP
• Smart Rules: using the rich data set that we collect to make better decisions about preferred payment methods

Our current tech stack includes:

What your day will involve:

• Delivering clean, architecturally sound and maintainable server-side code; bonus points for full-stack development experience
• Collaborating with stakeholders in the company to rapidly build-measure-learn a world-class product
• Working with our scrum masters to constantly iterate on the company’s development processes
• Motivating the team past roadblocks to make sure we are shipping features as effectively as possible
• Guiding design discussions; being the voice of experience with helping the team balance flexibility, expediency and scalability & performance
• Contributing to the current move away from monolithic architecture to microservices
• Championing new technologies and enforcing the best development patterns
• Keeping a keen eye on the future, whilst making sure we’re proactively but pragmatically tackling technical debt

• 2+ years of software development experience
• In-depth knowledge of more than one software language among Golang, Java, C++, with Go experience preferable but not essential
• Experience of building microservices; ideally deployed in Docker containers on Kubernetes
• Experience of agile development practices
• Experience with RDBMS & NoSQL datastores
• Bonus points for previous payments experience, especially with card processing and/or real-time payment systems
• Ability to diagnose problems at any level (Client, HTTP/Network, Server, Database, OS)
• Demonstrable experience of building large concurrent applications
• Experience of developing and running large scale production environments in or closely with DevOps / SRE
• A genuine interest in working in a fast paced startup and ideally Fintech

The purpose of the Backend Software Engineer will be to support the build of elegant, performant, maintainable, operable and secure Golang microservices, to help design and architect our systems, and to develop and to continue the journey of continuous improvement to make the team the best that it can be.

Role Purpose:

As a Junior CRM Executive, you will be working within the Growth team. Growth operates at the intersection of Product, Marketing, and Data, which makes this a very unique opportunity to learn and grow in multiple disciplines across the company! Growth is responsible for researching, implementing, and executing multiple initiatives that involve improving metrics across the marketing funnel (Awareness, Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Revenue and Referral). You will be working directly with the CRM manager, but will also have the chance to collaborate with multiple senior stakeholders across the organisation

Key Accountabilities

• Support the CRM manager with day-to-day operations of email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, building automated programs, implementing dynamic content, and running A/B tests
• Review campaign implementation, results, learn and share with relevant stakeholders
• Assisting the CRM Manager in developing comprehensive CRM strategies for the growth team in line with business goals and objectives.
• Troubleshooting and resolving basic platform or data issues that may arise during campaign execution
• Build a strong working relationship with Curve departments and support them to achieve key results
• Prepare and present weekly performance reports for key stakeholder
• Ownership of all reviews in storefronts, including Trustpilot, to reply to reviews, communicate sentiment and bugs, and boost rating through various CRM tactics.

As an industry disruptor in the consumer payments field, Curve is searching for an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for financial planning and analysis, boasting substantial know-how in financial modelling, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. The first deliverable in this role is to redesign and automate modelling & reporting of operating costs by department. 

You’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of Curve by providing key insights into business performance, facilitating an effective planning process & developing our financial capabilities. This is a highly visible role with exposure across the leadership team and key business stakeholders

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial models and forecasts to support the company's strategic objectives and decision making.
• Automate & own the reporting of operating costs at a departmental level
• Partner with the Strategy team to support modelling requirements for new business initiatives.
• Spearhead the budgeting process; liaise with stakeholders across the business to align on assumptions, including review and data manipulation of complex financial models.
• Establishing clear principles and timetables to support the business in setting budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor key performance indicators, pinpointing trends and analysing unexpected variances
• Support the preparation of management accounts across Curve’s BUs and review/ validate financials on a monthly basis for reporting purposes to senior management and the Board.
• Develop a robust understanding of Curve’s business model and underlying drivers, in order to explain performance and strategic issues in a clear, concise manner.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships across the business, being recognised as a trusted and reliable source of commercial insight and effective management information.
• Strategic ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required.
• Support with ad-hoc investor requests.

The type of modelling work includes: 

• Integrated 3-statement models, DCF models, Operating models
• Financial forecast, Valuations and Scenario modelling
• Development of data models to support modelling and analytics deliverables

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• A minimum of 3+ years' experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis role, ideally in a high-growth startup or tech company environment.
• Financial modelling, budgeting, business planning, forecasting and analysis experience. 
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and a working knowledge of Power Query, VBA, Python, R and SQL.
• Delivering large-scale financial projects, including designing and implementing financial models.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, creative, self-motivated, and solution-oriented.

Role Purpose:

At Curve, we obsess about our customers. The purpose of the Senior Product Designer is to be the brains behind the features we release, to conceptualise and implement innovative ideas and designs that have the user in mind at every stage of the design process. You will define how our customers interact with us, with a global reach of 31 countries your designs will have a global impact and portray to the market how we are incorporating the wants and needs of multiple customer bases.

We are committed to providing a world-class standard for our customers, through research into behavioural-changing features and to validate designs you will look into best practises and methodologies to adhere to the high expectations we set. It will be a joint venture between the Product Designer and the Product Managers to shape the product strategy and product vision, and a collaborative effort between the entire Product team to ensure we are consistent with our brand vision.

Key Accountabilities:

• Work in a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team alongside a Principal Product Designer starting with the initial discovery phase, defining the experience at a high level, right through to building out and meticulously documenting the final UI for developer handoff.  
• Collaborate and communicate with many stakeholders across the organisation, producing high quality documentation to facilitate meetings and interactions where product and design are involved.
• Proactively identify problems and opportunities to be both studied and quantified, and formulate relevant questions and hypotheses to be validated. 
• Work closely with a Product manager to define your team’s Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) as well as each project’s success metrics.
• Be a highly active contributor to Curve’s product design team as a whole. We’re a close-knit group of individuals who really care about the betterment of our team’s processes and constantly strive to improve them.

• You have 5+ years of experience as a designer with relevant work experience. 
• You have a strong portfolio that clearly demonstrates your product design process and work.
• You have an platform-specific knowledge of both iOS and Android.
• You’re able to confidently communicate your design decisions effectively to necessary stakeholders.
• You’re deeply customer-focused and always strive to understand who you are solving problems for, with a data-driven approach.
• You are independent, self-starting consistently deliver on commitments across multiple projects.
• You have experience of agile development processes and how to effectively integrate design with a development team.
• You have experience in user research, having understanding of effective question scoping and can utilise your findings. 
• You strive to improve yourself on a daily basis, taking and providing constructive feedback to and from members of your team.
