Another epic year at Curve

31 Dec 2021

Can’t quite believe we’re here already, but what an epic year it’s been 💥 After kicking off 2021 with $95 million in our back pocket from an amazing Series C, we had a LOT of work to do.

But we didn’t hang around. We upped our cashback game, giving you amazing offers from the world’s top brands. We created our very own OS, Curve Pay, enabling millions to pay with their phone. But the biggest work has been going on in the background as we get set to launch in the US and unleash Curve Flex to the masses, a radically new way to control your finances. Bring on 2022.

✨ 2021 highlights ✨

Shopping with Curve got a whole lot better.

We introduced Rewards - endless cashback offers from top brands like Nike, Uber, Amazon and Selfridges. With up to 20% cashback on everything from food and wine to fashion and travel, it’s never felt better to shop with Curve.

You invested in us. A lot.

In May, we gave you another chance to own a piece of Curve. Over 10,000 of you jumped at it, helping us raise an eye-watering £10m! We even set the Crowdcube record for largest equity raise (for the second time 💁‍♀️)

FLEXIT 🇬🇧

After 18 back-breaking months of visionary thinking, rigorous testing and negotiating, we’ve built a credit feature unlike anything else.

And on September 17th, we announced Flex to the world.

Turns out, so did Monzo 👇

And our social team couldn’t resist…

We launched Curve Pay

Millions of Huawei users now have a way to pay with their phone, thanks to Curve. We launched Curve Pay in October, making faster contactless payments available to everyone.

We partnered with Discover

In July, we partnered with Discover, one of the top four credit card networks, to enable their millions of customers to add their cards to Curve, allowing access to all the regular card privileges and rewards, as well as Curve loyalty and cashback, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

We passed 3 million customers

On 6 October 2021, we celebrated 3 million of you signing up to use Curve! We're proud to be live in the UK, Spain, Germany, France, Sweden and Italy (to name a few) and we're not stopping there.

Tens of thousands of you are on the US waitlist

Our team in the Big Apple can't wait to bring Curve to you - not long to go!

Still not signed up to our US waitlist? What are you waiting for 🏃‍♀️

New year, new card 💳

Spoiler: we're working on some slick new card designs to help cure those January blues. You'll be able to get your hands on these next month (everyone asking for new colours, you won't be disappointed). If you're in the UK, you might even see us on your TV screens! Watch this space 👀
