CURVE PAY PRIZE DRAW TERMS

How it works

  1. Entry Instructions: We are running a prize draw (the “Prize Draw”) on the terms set out below (the “Terms”). To enter the Prize Draw, you must: 

    1. receive an email from Curve inviting you to participate in the Prize Draw; 

    2. be an existing Curve or Samsung Pay+ customer; and

    3. complete at least one Eligible Purchase during the Promotional Period. 

  2. Promotional Period: The Prize Draw starts at 14:00:00 GMT on 30th September 2024 and finishes at 23:59:59 GMT on 6th October 2024. 

  3. Eligible Purchase: A transaction with the value of at least £5 / €5 made using the Curve Card during the Promotional Period. Each Eligible Purchase will constitute a valid entry into the Prize Draw. There is no limit to the number of Eligible Purchases an Eligible Customer can make under this Prize Draw. 

  4. The following transactions will not qualify as an Eligible Purchase:

    1. transactions that are refunded during the Promotional Period;

    2. transactions or purchases of, or relating to, financial services, including but not limited to wire transfers, money orders, money transfers, insurance services, insurance sales, insurance underwriting, insurance premiums, cash disbursement, quasi cash, stored value funding, MoneySend, funding of cards and accounts, securities/shares (including through brokers and dealers), overpayments, bonds, savings bonds;

    3. transactions or purchases of, or relating to, lotteries, casinos, gambling or gambling like services, fines, bail and bond payments, tax payments, and government services;

    4. purchases made using your Curve Cash card balance;

    5. Curve Fronted transactions; 

    6. ATM withdrawals; and

    7. transactions or purchases of, or relating to, colleges, universities, professional schools and junior colleges.

  1. Eligible Customers: The Prize Draw is available to existing Curve and Samsung Pay+ customers who are residents of the United Kingdom and countries in the European Economic Area (EEA), are aged 18 years or over at the date of entry, excluding employees of Curve UK Limited, Curve Europe UAB, Curve Credit Limited, Curve US Inc., and their immediate families, associated agents, or anyone professionally connected with the offer. Curve accepts no liability for users who do not qualify for entry into the Prize Draw.

The Prize

  1. The Prize: Each time you complete an Eligible Purchase you will gain entry into the Prize Draw to win one of the following prizes (or any other prizes that may be notified to you from time to time):

    1. £5 in Curve Cash Points. 

    2. £10 in Curve Cash Points.

    3. £15 in Curve Cash Points.

    4. £20 in Curve Cash Points.

    5. £50 in Curve Cash Points.

    6. £100 in Curve Cash Points.

  1. The Winners: The Winners will be chosen randomly from all of the valid entries received in accordance with these Terms. Each Winner will be contacted by 23:59:59 on 13th October 2024 via the email address registered to their respective Curve account. The Prize will be credited to each Winner’s Curve Cash Card by 13th November 2024.

Other legal bits

  1. The Prize will be paid as Curve Cash Points to the Winner’s Curve Cash Card (which you can see  in the Curve App). Our Curve Rewards and Curve Cash scheme terms apply (see here). If you are a resident in the United Kingdom, please note that FSCS protection does not apply to the funds held on your Curve Cash Card.   2. Curve Cash Points: Curve Cash Points have no monetary value and are converted to e-money only at the point you spend them with your Curve Card. Curve Cash Points cannot be withdrawn as or redeemed for cash, cannot be transferred from your Curve Cash Card, and expire after 6 months. Your use of Curve Cash Points is subject to our UK Terms of Service (if you are a UK resident) (or Curve’s Samsung Pay+ Terms, if you’re a Samsung Pay+ user) or to our EEA Terms of Service (if you are a resident of the EEA). 

  3. Fair use: The Prize Draw is subject to our UK Fair Use Policy (if you are a UK resident) or to our EEA Fair Use Policy (if you are a resident of the EEA). Any violation of our Fair Use Policy may result in us suspending your participation in the Prize Draw and Curve Cash Points or suspending or closing your Curve account. You will not be credited Curve Cash Points that we reasonably believe were obtained in violation of our Fair Use Policy. We will also revoke any Curve Cash Points granted where we reasonably believe they were obtained by fraud or otherwise in violation of these Terms. Curve reserves the right to revoke any Curve Cash Points granted in excess of the maximum limit as set out in our Fair Use Policy.

  4. Other promotions: Curve may determine in its sole discretion that the Prize Draw cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or offer by Curve. 

  5. Disqualification or suspension: 

    1. Any person persistently trying to circumvent these Terms will be immediately disqualified. Any person who creates or attempts to create duplicate Curve accounts to obtain entries into the Prize Draw will be ineligible.

    2. Curve reserves the right to disqualify customers where there are reasonable grounds to believe they are acting fraudulently or where there has been a breach of these Terms.

    3. Curve also reserves the right to reverse any Prize credited to your Curve account if we become aware that you have breached these Terms, or the terms that apply to your Curve account. We will consider the reversal of any Prize to have been done with your consent and the payment to have been authorised by you.

  1. Suspending or amending the Prize Draw and/or Terms: 

    1. Curve retains the right to amend, suspend or end these Terms, and/or the Prize Draw without any prior notice (including if, in our reasonable opinion, the Prize Draw is being abused or may negatively affect Curve’s goodwill or reputation or due to unforeseen circumstances which may make it impossible for us to continue running the Prize Draw). 

    2. Curve will not be liable for any loss, whether directly or indirectly suffered where we are unable to continue running the Prize Draw as planned.

      1. Acceptance of Terms: By signing up for the Prize Draw, you will be deemed to have accepted these Terms. 

      2. Liability:

        1. Curve is not responsible for any entries which fail to be registered or are delayed for any technical or other reason whatsoever.

        2. Curve retains the right to substitute any Prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available anymore for any reason whatsoever.

        3. Curve accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Prize Draw or accepting the Prize, including where you have been awarded a Prize due to a technical error, except where it is caused by its negligence. 

        4. Nothing in these Terms shall exclude the liability of Curve for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.

      1. Use of Personal Data: Personal data provided will be used for the purposes of administering the Prize Draw and your Curve account. Please see the Curve’s Privacy Policy here.

      2. Law and Jurisdiction: The Offer and these Terms are governed by English law and any legal proceedings in relation to them will be held in the English courts if you are a United Kingdom resident and by Lithuanian law and Lithuanian courts if you are a Lithuanian resident. If you are resident in an EEA country, nothing in these Terms prevents you from taking legal action in the country in which you reside.
